Walking the Wales Coast Path - Pembrokeshire - St Ann's Head

Yesterday I was able to resume walking the Pembrokeshire section of the Wales Coast Path. It was the perfect time of year for it too, as the coastal path was covered in the most wonderful array of colourful flowers, and we were fortunate enough to have a gorgeous sunny day, and it wasn’t very busy at all.

We parked the car at Kete National Trust car park, which is free and the perfect place to join the coastal path. We walked across the fields by the car park to join up with the path and took a right. When we arrived at West Dale Beach we left the coastal path and cut across the small town of Dale, to rejoin the coastal path on the other side, enabling us to do this walk as a circle. We then followed the path back around towards St Ann’s head, and back to where we started.

The walk was relatively flat and easy for Pembrokeshire, and at no point did it feel too steep. It has been very dry this month, so the walk wasn’t muddy or slippy anywhere either, which made a nice change after the very wet autumn and winter walks I did.

The walk was very picturesque, and mostly off the beaten track, so each of the little beaches we came across had that wonderful unspoilt charm that Pembrokeshire does so well.

It felt so good to be back walking in Pembrokeshire, and nice to be able to tick off a good 8 mile section. Watch this space to see where I go next! You can follow me on facebook or instagram to get the latest updates.
