The year so far...

Almost 3 months into 2017 and it's already shaping up to be a very exciting year for Our Beautiful Adventure Photography. The year started with the discovery that my blog had made the finals of the UK Blog Awards, in both the parenting and photography categories. Such an honour to have made it this far, and I'm looking forward to finding out the winners at the end of April. I've enjoyed writing lots of different blog posts this year, and have some more posts on Minimalism and Photography in the pipeline, so watch this space (or subscribe at the end of the blog).

Published Articles

I've been busy writing for other people as well as for my blog, with articles in the January and March editions of What's on in Swansea Magazine, and in the last two editions of Swansea Kidscene Magazine too. I have also had this photo of my family published in The Guardian. (You can visit my press page to find links to all of these articles)

Presence Project

In February I was commissioned by DJ Andy Hunter to produce some photos for his app "Presence". The app uses music, film and poetry to inspire reflection and prayer. The theme was 'Wide Open Spaces' and I was given a verse from Romans 5 to create my images from. "We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand - out in the wide open spaces of God's grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise." These were the final 5 photos, which you can also find in the Presence App.

Wedding Photography

Wedding season also kicked off in February. I already have more weddings booked for the summer and I'm now taking bookings for 2018 too. So if you or someone you know is getting married please do pass on my details. You can find out more about my Wedding photography here

Portrait work

I'm currently in the middle of a very exciting project, working with local charity Bloom. They are making a movie telling the stories of 6 refugees who now live in Swansea, and I am doing portraits of each of them. I can't wait to share more about it in the coming months once it is completed.

I also had a lot of fun working with Eleanor Brown on the cover for her upcoming album. It's still all top secret, but I will definitely share it with you once the album is released.

Gower explorations

I have spent a lot of time already this year on the beach, and I'm already excited for longer days and warmer weather and a lot more beach days. Here are a few of my favourites from this years adventures so far, but you can see a lot more over on my Instagram

Product work

I have done quite a bit of product photography now and 2017 started off with two handbags to photograph ahead of their launch on a pattern website. It's always fun for me to do different types of photography, so please do get in touch if you are looking for product photography.

Mother's Day

With Mother's Day coming up I decided to offer discounted family sessions on Saturday 25th March. Slots have filled up fast and there is currently just one left. So head on over to my shop if you want to find out more details and book yourself a slot. Don't forget I also sell gift vouchers for Family sessions, so if the 25th March doesn't suit your family, you can still treat yourself or someone special to a photo shoot.

It's been an exciting start to the year, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what else 2017 has in store. If you want to keep up to date on what's going on with Our Beautiful Adventure Photography be sure to come find me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
